About the Course:

Within each of us lies a divine spark that makes us beings of love. Therefore, our actions should be done out of love. This is the purpose of our existence here.

In her unique and warm approach, Mira Raz brings the reader closer to the Torah regarding the purpose of a life of faith as a life of love.

According to the Torah, the most prominent components of a person's inner self are the "nefesh" (soul) and the "neshama" (spirit), two spiritual forces whose meeting gives rise to human existence.

Six thinkers—Rabbi Soloveitchik, Rabbi HaShal, Rabbi Kook, Chaim Yehuda Roth, Martin Buber, and Gershom Scholem—each addressed the nefesh and neshama in their own way as main characters in the drama of consciousness that God presents to humanity. Mira Raz reads these sources and their writings and offers her own ideas about the relationship between these spiritual forces.

What will be studied:

Introduction: Diving Begins

What does it mean to “dive to the skies”? In this special introduction, Rabbi Mira Raz shares the heart and vision behind the course—and introduces Donna Raz Levy, who will guide us through these transformative lessons. Together, they open the door to a journey of soul, text, and deep awareness.

What does it mean to truly “dive” into Torah? Explore the layered reality of soul and self—and the hidden unity that lies beneath the surface of our lives.
Within each of us lives a Jacob and an Esau. Discover how the eternal soul and the survival-driven self coexist—and what their ancient struggle can teach us today.

A kiss, a scent, a blessing… Dive into one of the Torah’s most mysterious moments and uncover how the senses awaken spirit and spark transformation.

Jacob flees, struggles, grows. Through deception, hardship, and love, he slowly becomes worthy of the blessing. But at what cost?

Alone at night, Jacob wrestles with… himself. This lesson explores the inner battle that births a new name—and a new consciousness.

How do personal stories align with divine vision? This lesson uncovers how small steps and imperfect people bring ancient prophecies to life.

What if the divine isn’t found in holiness, but in hardship? Discover how the sacred often emerges in the most surprising, even painful, places.

Joseph is sold, families fracture—and yet, something deeper is unfolding. Explore how difficult choices can be rooted in love, and how pain may lead to purpose.

Is there meaning in betrayal? In this lesson, we look at how hindsight reveals divine intention, and how faith can transform suffering into insight.

What happens when consciousness rises above instinct? Discover how the soul begins to guide the journey—and why awareness is the key to inner peace.

Exile, redemption, reunion. This lesson follows the arc of return—from alienation to belonging—and what it teaches us about hope and healing.

Beyond time, beyond striving—Shabbat invites us into harmony. Learn how this sacred pause reflects the world as it was meant to be, and still can be.
